Jagd auf Zahlen und Figuren
The 'Chase for Numbers and Figures' is an annual event now taking place in several cities of Austria and Belgium, France invited me for 2001. The chase takes place at the end of the schoolyear. Two sets, 5 or 7 'non-textbook' mathematical questions of different level, are presented. In roughly 90 minutes the visitor is supposed to have solved the problems which are arranged in a circular way, so that he can start where he wants. At the end, two supplementary questions challenge the creativeness of the visitor. I encourage work in teams, as 'problemsolving' in real live is nearly always considered as groupwork. Geometry has a fixed place and one or two questions involve physical exercise with wooden pieces.

The workshop got such a phenomenal response, that I now offer a monthly price-winning problem over the internet.
