This is a collection of mathematical resources and related links into the Internet subdivided in the
following sections:
General Mathematics Resources, a collection of fairly general links, - often searchable - subject and meta indices, and pointers into the mathematical world of the Internet. They can be utilized for global browsing and searching for new mathematical items in the Internet.
Mathematical Information Providers, a collection - ordered by locations and names - of links to mathematical institutions, centers and larger research projects, at present most of them from Germany,
Mathematical Software, which contains mainly references to research software available in the public domain.
The Mathematical Museum and Expositions, an extension of sections above into History, Art and Natural Sciences, supplemented by a couple of carefully selected exits to Other - and, wonderfully virtual - Museums and exhibitions,
Electronic Publishing, a collection reflecting discussions on electronic publishing in mathematics, and also various pointers to activities and projects related to the more general Digital Libraries thema, and of
Internet Resources, containing some pointers to specific Internet archives which may be of value for the mathematical Internaut.
abbreviations of some selected institutions and resources.
Acknowledgment: Many of the items in these collections have been 'floating around' in the Internet, i.e., they have been collected from electronic mail, from general Internet meta lists, via personal communication, from electronic mathematical discussion lists, and - last but not least - from the wealth of mathematical servers available at present. A large number of texts have been copied from those information resources - and only slightly edited for reasons of systematization. Without the open, friendly, and helpful atmosphere of the Internet community such an information collection would not be possible.
